While Cedar Point suffered a setback to the end of its 2024 season when it was announced that the recently-opened Top Thrill 2 would remain closed until 2025, the park now has another exciting coaster set to open next year.

Cedar Point’s Siren’s Curse, which is billed as the “longest, tallest, fastest tilt coaster in North America,” will open in 2025, although an exact date hasn’t been announced.

The signature feature of the coaster will be is “tilt.” When riders reach the top of its initial 160-foot drop, they encounter a missing piece of track. The train will then be titled downward until it reconnects with the track.

“The creaking platform holding your train will slowly tilt into a 90-degree vertical position, forcing you to peer straight down with the hope your train will connect to the twisted track below,” a description of the coaster on Cedar Point’s website reads.

Siren’s call, which has a two minute duration, will reach a maximum speed of 58 mph and feature two “360-degree zero gravity barrel rolls.”
