CFAD’s Voices of Design Winners Announced

Jack McLaughlin

The Center for Architecture and Design (CFAD) is excited to announce the 2024 winners of the Voices of Design competition. CFAD’s mission is to make architecture and design accessible to all. CFAD imagines a future Columbus that values architecture and design, genuinely representing the breadth and diversity of our community. The Voices of Design initiative was created to amplify the impact of design and demonstrate that Columbus is a place where architecture and design thrive. Winners were selected from a jury comprised of community leaders with a deeply rooted passion for the well-being of central Ohio neighborhoods. The jury consists of creative professionals, city officials, and other community directors who are enthusiastic about sustainable urban futures, gender equity, racial justice, public health and economic security.  A publication featuring winners will be distributed within the community, fostering education and awareness about the significance of design.

CFAD advocates for collaboration and inclusiveness within central Ohio’s creative community, mobilizing internal and external resources in a highly interactive and cooperative fashion. By encouraging public dialogue and participation through activities and diverse opportunities, CFAD hopes to raise the bar for design excellence, positive change toward diversity and equity in the design professions, and innovation in the Central Ohio community. CFAD offers several engaging events and activities open to the public throughout the year, such as design talks, architecture/design exhibits and Camp Architecture and Design/High School Design Studio, our summer camp offerings for aspiring artists and designers.

CFAD is located at 50 W. Town St, and we invite all design professionals, individuals and organizations within our thriving creative culture and beyond, who embrace the importance of the built environment and design, to join us in our mission.
