National department store closing 2 Ohio locations, dozens of others due to ‘underperformance’
Another struggling retailer is looking to improve profitability, and as a result, are closing multiple stores, including two in Ohio.
According to a Kohl’s press release, the retail chain is closing 27 of it’s 1,150 stores nationwide by April, listing them as “underperforming.”

In the past six months, Kohl’s stock has fallen nearly 40%, according to CNN.
“We always take these decisions very seriously,” CEO Tom Kingsbury said in the press release. “As we continue to build on our long-term growth strategy, it is important that we also take difficult but necessary actions to support the health and future of our business for our customers and our teams.”
In Ohio, the underperforming Kohl’s locations that will be closing include Blue Ash (4150 Hunt Rd.) and Cincinnati (100 Cincinnati Mills Dr.).
