Columbus-area eatery recently ranked among Yelp’s best local spots for fried chicken announces closing
A Columbus eatery that was named by Yelp as a local fried chicken spot to try less than a year ago will be closing.
According to a social media post from The Good Kitchen, the eatery is slated to close its doors shortly.
“We will be closing our doors very soon..It has been a pleasure serving you all,” the post reads. “We will still be doing catering and will also be bringing our food truck back out very soon.”

The eatery told 614Now that is plans to close its physical storefront on Jan. 17.
Located at 1485 Sunbury Rd., The Good kitchen operated as a carryout eatery, focusing on soul food. It originally opened for business in February of 2027.
In the spring of 2024, it was included in a Yelp list highlighting 10 mystery local spots for fried chicken.
