Learn which Columbus eateries have closed due to power outages here
Facing a second straight day of searing temperatures, much of Central Ohio is without power. And it’s not just individuals and family homes affected, either. Many of the city’s popular eateries have been forced to close for one or more days in light of the recent heatwave.
While this list is by no means exclusive, and the status of restaurants are subject to change, we’ve put together a roundup on the status of many Columbus eateries. Here’s to hoping cooler weather is on the way.
101 Beer Kitchen
The power was out at the Gahanna location of the restaurant yesterday, forcing them to close. They have not yet updated the status of their Gahanna eatery for today.
6-1-PHO
The popular Vietnamese eatery closed yesterday and will remain closed through at least today as well.
Bake Me Happy
While the bakery’s Dublin location is open today, they will be closed today in Merion Village.

Honey Cup Coffee
Honey Cup is closed for today. The coffee shop announced it has power, but will have to restock before opening tomorrow.
Destination Donuts
Clintonville eateries have been hit particularly hard by outages. Destination Donuts is out of power, and will reopen once it returns. It’s unclear exactly when that will be.
Donna’s Delicious Dozen
After closing yesterday due to a power outage, Donna’s Delicious Dozen is officially back open for business today.
Florin Coffee
While Florin did experience an outage, they’ve announced they have power and are open today.
Forbidden Root
The Easton brewery was forced to close yesterday evening, but will reopen for business today.
Gatto’s Pizza
This iconic Clintonville pizzeria was closed yesterday and will remained closed today.
Hoof Hearted Brewery & Kitchen
The wonderfully weird Italian Village taproom and restaurant will be closed today, as will Hoof Hearted’s weekly running club.
La Chatelaine
While the French bakery and restaurant’s Upper Arlington location will remain closed until tomorrow, its Dublin and Worthington locations are open today.
La Tavola
The Grandview restaurant has power and is open for business, but its air conditioning is currently not working.
Tudies Cookies & Sweets
This newly-opened bakery is currently without power, although they plan to reopen as soon as possible after the electricity returns.
The Hungarian Butcher
The popular new artisan butcher will be open today, although they plan to close at 4 p.m. as a precautionary measure.
Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers Market
Scheduled to take place today, the market has been canceled due to the heat.
Patty Cake Bakery
Patty Cake is closed today.
Savor Growl
This Clintonville bar and bottle shop is officially open for business again after closing early yesterday.
Seventh Son Brewing Co.
The Italian Village craft beer hotspot will remain closed until tomorrow at the earliest, but its two sister breweries, Antiques on High and Getaway Brewing, are both open today.
Understory
The recently-opened sister brewery to Wolf’s Ridge is closed until it’s power outage is resolved.
