Early Wednesday morning, a fire broke out in west Columbus at a duplex that brought more than a dozen firetrucks to the area to help, according to NBC4. Firefighters said the fire began in the basement because of an electrical issue. A woman and her nine children lived in the home according to the duplex owner, but none were in the home because they were caring for the woman’s ill father. No injuries have been reported.
