Popular Southern Ohio pizzeria opens Columbus-area location
Giovanni’s Pizza has arrived.
The regional chain began in Wheelersburg, Ohio more than 50 years ago, and while Giovanni’s has grown to operate more than 100 restaurants in six states, its presence has largely been relegated to Southern Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Yesterday, however, a Giovanni’s pizzeria held the soft opening of its new uptown Marysville store. The eatery is located at 205 E. 8th St.

The new pizzeria is one of several recently-opened destinations for Uptown Marysville. Walking Distance Brewing, which is located across the street at 222 E. 8th St., opened its doors last fall.
Giovanni’s, which offers pizza, chicken, sandwiches, Italian entrees and more was created in 1964, when founders Jim and Nancy Lemaster opened the concept’s first location in Wheelersburg, Ohio. The pizzeria also operates restaurants in Washington Courthouse, Circleville and Chillicothe.
