For the first time ever, this after-dark Grandview street festival is holding a Halloween event

The annual Grandview Hop is hugely popular while it lasts, but it’s only ever been held during the summer months. Until this year, that is.

On Oct. 22, the ever-popular community festival series plans to add a “bonus” event, known as the Halloween Harvest Hop. It will take place from 5-8 p.m. along Grandview Avenue, where the Hop is normally held. Grandview Avenue will be blocked off from 1st avenue to 3rd avenue.

“We’ve been blessed to have such a successful summer season and we wanted to add one more night market to bring everyone together again before the season wraps up for 2022,” said Derek Grosso, Lead Organizer for The Grandview Hop “The Halloween Harvest theme made sense for a number of reasons, so we went for it, And the response from so many of our pop-up vendors, food trucks, area businesses, and social media followers has been incredibly positive that it’s shaping up to be another excellent experience along Grandview Avenue.” 

According to a social media post promoting the event, the Harvest Hop will be a faithful recreation of the Harvest Hop, with a Halloween twist.

“The Halloween Harvest Hop will be exactly the same as the summertime events AND it will include a fall harvest theme with a costume contest for kids, trick-or-treating scavenger hunt, live music, and more,” the post reads. The new event will also include a full slate of food trucks and pop-up vendors like previous Hops.

The Grandview Hop also held events this year in June, July, August and September.
