New Mexican eatery featuring homemade tortillas opening soon at East Market
The East Market is about to welcome a new vendor to round out its cuisine offerings.
Masa Mexican Grill, a new concept, will be joining the Olde Towne East food hall early next year. While an opening date hasn’t been announced, Masa told 614Now that it will most likely open sometime next month.
The East Market is located at 212 Kelton Ave.

The new eatery takes its name from the nixtamalized corn dough (a process for preparing corn that soaks dried kernels in an alkaline liquid) that’s featured in cuisines throughout Mexico. Masa plans to serve a variety of tacos, burritos and more on house-made tortillas.
Owner and head chef Ivan Ruiz, who was born in the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains of Mexico, hopes to use the concept as a way to bring the culture and food of his hometown to central Ohio, according to the eatery’s website.
