Columbus spice shop owners open new ice cream concept at Polaris

Polaris shoppers familiar with Phyllis Anne’s Family Recipe–the family-owned shop for spices, cake mixes and more–have some sweet news on the way, literally.

Owners of the Polaris spice store recently held a soft opening for its brand-new ice cream scoop shop, called Phyllis Ann’s Signature Ice Creamery.

Like Phyllis Ann’s Family Recipe, the new ice cream concept is located within Polaris Fashion Place, at 1500 Polaris Pkwy. Phyllis Ann’s Signature Ice Creamery is located in suite 1206, on the first level of the mall near Saks Fifth Avenue.

According to Tanikia Carter-Camara, COO of Phyllis Ann’s Family Recipe, the new ice cream shop held a soft opening earlier this week, and is planning its official grand opening for later this month.

The dessert spot offers 18 different varieties of ice cream, in addition to gourmet sundaes, ice cream floats and more. 

Carter-Camara said Phyllis Ann’s Signature Ice Creamery also serves Tainted Soda, a drink allowing patrons to add any of nearly 40 different flavor splashes to the base soda of their choice.
