Franklin County Courthouse holding walk-in weddings on Valentine’s Day
Even Franklin County courts of law are feeling love in the air this Valentine’s Day.
On Feb. 14, Franklin County Municipal Court judges will perform Valentine’s Day wedding ceremonies. While judges do hold civil wedding ceremonies throughout the rest of the year, they do so by appointment only outside of Valentine’s Day.
Walk-in wedding hopefuls should expect a wait on Valentine’s Day, and all walk-ins will be performed on a first come, first served basis.

You can also make an appointment for a Valentine’s wedding by calling the Municipal Court Duty Room at 614-645-3889.
Judges, who are “dedicated to performing as many civil wedding ceremonies as possible on Valentine’s” according to a press release, will be wedding couples between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Feb. 14. All ceremonies will be performed in Courtroom 14A of the Franklin County Municipal Court, which is located at 375 S. High St.
There is no fee for judges to perform wedding ceremonies, but there is a $25 processing fee to obtain a marriage license, and couples will need to provide their marriage licenses and processing fee receipts to be wed.
