Stopping to smell the roses is one thing, but stopping to smell the voodoo lily?
Don’t even think about it.
A relative of the infamous corpse flower, the voodoo lily is known for its foul-smelling flower (which has been compared to rotting meat, like its cousin the corpse flower), which typically occurs once a year. And for one more day, you can catch the flower here in Columbus.

According to a Franklin Park Conservatory representative, the voodoo lily is currently in bloom, and will likely begin wilting tomorrow.
The flower is typically kept in the Conservatory’s greenhouse, and is transported to the Rainforest Biome just before it’s ready to bloom.
According to Franklin Park Conservatory, this year’s blossom doesn’t have the intense smell expected, but as the species reaches heights of six feet tall, it’s a rare and interesting sight to behold either way.
