Less than a week after a car drove into this Franklinton restaurant, it has reopened
Even a car crashing through glass and ending up inside of Taft’s Brewporium Columbus was not enough to keep the Franklinton restaurant and taproom closed for long.
According to a social media post made by Taft’s Columbus over the weekend, it is officially open for business once again.
“A car crash can’t keep us down! We’re officially back to our normal hours,” the statement reads.

The brewery thanked Compton Construction, Gravity Columbus and the Franklinton Board of Trade for their help in allowing Taft’s to reopen.
“We are having a Wheel be Alright party on Saturday with a DJ and drink specials including Buick bombs and inside cars,” said Taft’s Columbus general manager Justin Ryan. “Very excited to be back open.”
Columbus artist Hakim Callwood also created a mural of a pizza (the eatery is known for their New Haven-style pies) that was painted over where the car entered the building.
