Five months after serious fire damage, historic Columbus-area inn announces reopening

Something big is coming our way on the first of April, and it’s no joke.

According to a social media post from the Historic Buxton Inn–the Granville establishment that first opened more than 200 years ago–will officially reopen on April 1.

In late October of last year, the kitchen of the Buxton Inn caught fire. While no one was injured, the blaze caused significant damage, and the hotel has remained shuttered since.

Additionally, the Buxton announced that its historic tavern will also reopen for hotel guests and general visitors on April 1, the same day the Inn plans to reopen.
