According to ‘TastingTable,’ this Columbus-area eatery has the best gyros in all of Ohio

There are few things better suited to tackle your cravings for indulgence than a gyro, and according to one national food publication, a Columbus eatery boasts the Buckeye State’s best example.

According to a new list from TastingTable titled “The best gyro you can find in every state,” Ohio’s best gyro comes from King Gyros Greek Restaurant. The eatery is located at 400 S. Hamilton Rd. in Whitehall.

Besides serving traditional Greek meals, King Gyros Greek Restaurant prides itself on adapting Greek flavors to staples of American cuisine. When you scour through the menu, you will find items like a feta burger and Greek fries. Even among the gyro options — besides the usual lamb and falafel offerings — you will also find Cajun chicken gyro and Greek BBQ chicken gyro (as well as a vegetarian option). If you’re in the mood for something a little fancy, go for the steak gyro made with filet mignon tips.

The eatery, which is entirely Greek-owned, is known for its gyros, but is also recognized for Greek classics like Bakalava and more contemporary dishes, like its Greek Fries and Feta Burger.
