This new Northside coffee shop opened, featuring locally baked jumbo muffins & cinnamon rolls
It’s difficult to convince someone these days that their purchase truly goes towards a good cause. But in this case, 100% of proceeds from the Peppermint Mocha, spiced donut, or jumbo muffin you buy from Ethos + Co. Cafe goes towards a monthly cause that benefits central Ohio.
Ethos + Co. Cafe recently opened at 6576 Africa Rd. in Westerville after much anticipation, and best of all, this cafe is 100% non-profit! All proceeds are donated to rotating, local causes, including She Has a Name and Out of the Darkness, two organizations that help sex trafficked and abused victims.
“This is essentially another way for the community to give back to organizations that are doing great stuff,” said Amanda Bradish, the manager of Ethos + Co. Cafe.
They’re partnering with Florin Coffee for their espresso and drip offerings, along with Off the Beaten Path Coffee, who provides specialty nitro drinks, like nitro apple cider and nitro pumpkin spiced lattes (hot or cold!). They also offer local kombucha offerings. Can’t choose just one? Opt for one of their draft flights!
Smoothies, smoothie bowls, and pastries like jumbo blueberry muffins, coffee cakes, rotating donuts, brownies, and indulgent cinnamon rolls are available, home-made by Wildwood Farm and Bakes, as well as sandwiches and desserts from Freedom a la Cart, which is another local cafe that helps support sex trafficked victims.
All in all, this new Westerville cafe is centered around the community. There’s ample seating for large groups, huge tables hand-made locally, and free WiFi for anyone who wants to spend the day working here. It’s tucked away in a neighborhood instead of a residential area, and Bradish hopes that this becomes a co-working space, or just a space “where people feel like they can get out of the house for a treat if they’re working at home,” she said.
“We really want this to be a community cafe for everyone, regardless of backgrounds and beliefs,” Bradish emphasized.
This cafe operates Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm, and on Saturdays, guests can rent out the space for a flat fee (that goes towards the non-profits) for bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties – anything! They’re closed on Sundays for the staff to have a day off.
