Upscale German Village restaurant now offering fresh baked bread to-go

There’s something romantic about a fresh baked loaf of bread – one that hasn’t been made in a factory, or wrapped up in tight packaging and put on the shelves of a grocery store. And finding this type of bread has been quite the challenge in Columbus.

The lack of fresh bread in Columbus (RIP Omega Bakery! We miss you.) is exactly why Lindey’s, the fine dining restaurant nestled in the heart of German Village, decided to start their Lindey’s Bread Club.

This new Bread Club allows for patrons to buy house-made sourdough bread that’s been baked on their natural stone hearth. “We dedicate ourselves to preparing each loaf with care, from selecting premium 100% organic flours, using natural starter and using a cold fermentation process,” boasts their website.

If you want in on the club, here’s how it works: first, you sign up on their website and choose a plan ($36 a month for one loaf a week, so $9 a loaf; $70 a month for two loaves a week). Then, every Friday after 11 a.m., you stop by Lindey’s to pick-up your fresh loaves.

Limited spots are available, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible. “Life is too short to settle for ordinary bread. Don’t miss out on the chance to make Fridays a celebration of flavor and freshness,” says Lindey’s.
