The new Chick-Fil-A in former Tee Jaye’s restaurant announces opening date this month
No, you’re not going crazy – Chick-Fil-A indeed repurposed the historic Tee Jaye’s sign that’s been overlooking N. High St. for decades. What once was a giant sign with an arrow pointing to the Tee Jaye’s Restaurant (originally a Jerry’s Drive-In before the breakfast spot took over), is now pointing customers to the infamous Chick-Fil-A drive-thru line.
And you can be part of that line starting April 4th, according to their hard-to-miss sign out front. Chick-Fil-A announced on the iconic sign that their Grand Opening would be held on this date, so keep that in mind when at the High St./Morse Rd. intersection.

This new Chick-Fil-A, located at 4910 N. High St., originally developed plans in 2021. Usually it’s a quick process for this fried chicken chain to open, but there was a rezoning issue that had to be brought to city council.
While hours have yet to be announced for the new location, nearby Chick-Fil-A’s are usually open from 6am-10pm, Monday through Saturday, and of course are closed on Sundays.
