Fast casual, ‘Chipotle-style’ Indian concept opening this week
A Columbus concept with an appreciation for both Chitple-style service and clever puns is set to open its second location this week.
Rollz Rice will hold the grand opening of its second storefront on April 12, the eatery announced on its social media pages yesterday. The new eatery is located at 16 E. 16th Ave in the University District, just across High Street from the Wexner Center for the Arts. Its first location open in the Polaris area in 2019.
According to an interview with owner Kailash Chughwani last year, the concept leans into the fast-casual business model, offering build-your-own bowls, wraps and salads, where customers can select a base, protein, veggies, sauce and more.

“This is one of the first concepts like this in Columbus, and it’s even a very new concept for Indian people who are used to more traditional restaurants, where a meal can cost around $18,” Chughwani said, noting his entrees typically starts around $11.
Rollz Rice will be offering 50 percent off bowls and wraps on the day of its grand opening.
