After teens allegedly cause ‘chaos’ with livestream prank, local festival bans unsupervised minors

Following an incident at a central Ohio festival last week, the event fired back by banning minors without an adult present.

According to a social media statement from Picktown Palooza, an annual festival held in Pickerington, a group of teens incited chaos at the festival on July 12 for the sake of a livestream.

“Last nights events involved a group of teens and preteens who purposefully created chaos and panicking the midway area to live stream it on social media,” the statement reads. “Such behavior is unacceptable, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for any disruptive actions at Picktown Palooze.”

According to a number comments on Picktown Palooza’s post, numerous attendees were frightened by the teens, with one believing there was a active shooter at the festival.

Due to the incident, Picktown Palooza banned individuals under the age of 18 without a parent or guardian present. The festival has ended for this year, and it’s unclear if the new stipulations will carry over into next year’s event.
