The Worthington school board joins the ranks opposing the repeal of Common Core school standards. Board members have said that not only would repealing the standards hurt local Worthington students, but also cost taxpayers millions in wasted money toward the program. The members also repeated the argument that incoming freshman would bear the burden of being taught under three different standards while in school. Some argued that keeping Common Core would also reatin stability for children moving through the education system in Ohio, according to ThisWeek Community News.
