The Gay Street building off High was scorched by a fire April 15 and never quite renovated to tenant-worthy condition after. Since the fire, it’s been empty. The building has new owners though and The Day Companies and Don DeVere have plans for the prime location. The company already owns a few of the building along Gay Street and plan to revamp its newest purchase into a mixed-use space with retail on the bottom floor and offices and apartments above, according to Columbus Underground.
Cleaning crews are already starting the overhaul to make the spaces ready for new tenants to move in.
