The end of an era: Clintonville’s Olympic Swim Club closed
The Olympic Swim Club is officially closed, and its 76-year reign is over. The pool’s last day was Monday, and tears were shed for an iconic CLintonville landmark that no longer had the budget to remain open. “This is it. This is part of my life right here. I had to come back and see my assistant who was with me for 26 years,” Art Signore, former pool manager, said, according to NBC4. The owners plan to keep the land in the family, but it will transform into a multi-use space with retail shops, apartments and businesses.
