Is your doc qualified to recommend medical marijuana? List released
Your local doctor could be recommending medicinal marijuana in the near future.
The state medical board of Ohio released a list of 36 physicians that have been given the green light to recommend medicinal pot to their patients, including these docs from Columbus:
- Sarah Blake of Capital City Paincare, Columbus
- Michael Saribalas Clinic of Sleep Medicine and Psychiatric care, Columbus
- Daniel Jones of Jones Neurology Ltd., Upper Arlington
- Julianne Moy of Doctor’s Urgent Care, Columbus
- Joel Simmons of Ohio Herbal Clinic, Columbus
- Maria Soto of Doctors on Bethel Road, Columbus
- Azam Shah, New Albany
- Jeffrey Haggenjos, New Albany
- Bernard Master, Worthington
- Thomas McCartney, New Albany
These doctors have completed two hours of training for diagnosing conditions suitable for marijuana treatment.
This is the first round of approved physicians by the medical board. The State Medical Board plans on reviewing new applications during their next meeting on May 9th.
Medicinal marijuana dispensaries will be operational and selling Ohio-grown cannabis by September 8.
