Swensons Drive-In has spoken, 2nd location announced
After buying a built-it-yourself coffee table and knocking a few golf balls around, you’ll be able to chow down on a Galley Boy.
Swensons Drive-In has chosen a site next to Ikea and upcoming TopGolf facility (expected to open this fall) in the Polaris area for their second Columbus location.
If approved by Columbus City Council Monday, its address will be 2200 Ikea Way.

Columbus Business First reports Swensons’ proposal consists of a 1,711-square-foot restaurant plus 80 parking spaces which far exceeds the 35-spot limit under the site’s zoning.
The Akron-based fast food chain needs so many parking spaces because they serve their customers their famous burgers, fries, and shakes car-hop style.
The first central Ohio Swensons is slated for a former bank at Sawmill and Hard roads near Dublin.
CBF says the company is still working out some kinks with the city of Columbus but still plans to open this fall.
