Gun rights group granted more time in lawsuit

A judge granted Students for Concealed Carry, who has brought up a lawsuit against Ohio State for not allowing concealed carry on campus, a bit more time to argue why the case should not be dismissed. Ohio State has attempted to have the case dismissed on the grounds that the ban hasn’t hurt any individual. The judge has given the group extra time to prove just that. The Students for Concealed Carry Foundation has brought the lawsuit because they claim it’s restricting the rights of lawful gun holders and owners.

No guns: Group sues OSU for ban on guns

Ohio State was taken to the Franklin County Common Pleas Court today. The newest installment of the gun or no gun debate includes OSU’s ban of guns on campus and student group, Students for Concealed Carry, suing over the stipulation that OSU cannot ban guns off campus during campus related activities (among other things). The lawsuit says that OSU’s rule should only pertain to the borders of campus and no farther, according to the Dispatch. The lawsuit also details OSU’s ruling that even if state law allows guns or other weapons, that campus does not, and states OSU is infringing on the rights of legal gun holders.
