Local cookie recipe released for National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day Aug. 4

For all you chocolate lovers out there who just can’t get enough of the gooey, delicious stuff, August 4 is National Chocolate Chip Cookie day. One local restaurant is celebrating by giving up the recipe for its famous chippy dessert.

Fox in the Snow is releasing the recipe for their Salty Chocolate Chip Cookies (see below). Don’t worry though, if baking isn’t your strong suit, Fox in the Snow will be selling the cookies for carryout or mobile order at all their locations.
FOX IN THE SNOW’S SALTED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE:
- 2 sticks cold, unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Flaky sea salt (for topping cookies before baking)
