According to Columbus Food Adventures co-owner Bethia Woolf, the hot-selling gift baskets came out of necessity, at a time when the business whose operation was built around offering food tours of the city could no longer do so.
“When the pandemic hit we weren’t able to do any tours,” Woolf said, “So that’s when we had to figure out what else to do.”
The business has also expanded into other culinary niches. One of these new projects, Trust Fall, is another fun way to immerse yourself in the local food scene. For $40, Columbus Food Adventures will let you select a time and night for them to deliver you dinner for two from a wide variety of Columbus eateries.
There’s a catch though: They pick what you’re going to eat, and from where. As Trust Fall draws from over 60 local restaurants (representing cuisine from over 35 countries, according to Woolf), it’s a great way to uncover hidden gems, or discover a dish you love but never would have ordered on your own.
