North High Brewing to focus on cider at Polaris COhatch
When North High Brewing Co. opens in the new COhatch coworking space mid-spring at 1554 Polaris Parkway, Suite 325, the brewery will enter a new arena in the large world of libations.
Gavin Meyers, who co-founded North High with Tim Ward, said the company is using the opportunity to make cider with Mad Moon Cider. The beverages will be available at North High locations only for at least a year before being made available wholesale.
“Cider’s still a growing segment of the adult beverage industry,” Meyers said.

While North High already has space to brew its ales and lagers, the brewery has been focusing on branching out. A seltzer brewery is slated to open this fall in Cleveland, Meyers said.
“The idea is as we open new locations, we want to be able to sort of diversify what we’re doing as a business,” he said.
Part of North High’s evolution has included an ongoing partnership with CoHatch.
Polaris will be the fourth COhatch location for the brewery, Meyers said. North High is in COhatch’s Springfield location, which opened in June 2020, as well as the coworking space’s Dublin location at 56 N. High St. that opened in July. The brewery is also within a COhatch space that opened in January in Cincinnati’s Hyde Park.
The Polaris space had featured Brothers Drake, but when the outfit left this past spring, COhatch connected with North High, Meyers said.
North High’s bar will be available for COhatch members only until 4 p.m. on weekdays, after which it will be open to the public. Though hours aren’t set yet, the bar will also be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays.
Meyers said North High plans to feature the same menu that they launched at the COhatch in Hyde Park space.
Featuring pizza, salad, and wings, the menu has been “wildly popular with the neighborhood,” since it was introduced several weeks ago, he said.
