Worthington bar to reopen after more than a year
Cocktail bar The Light of Seven Matchsticks is slated to reopen early next month after being closed for 14 months.
Beverage Director P.J. Ford said the opening date might be May 5, but the specifics are still up in the air.

The space at 5601 N. High St. will be reservation only, Ford said. Hours aren’t yet set in stone, but the bar is tentatively planning to be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Ford said the journey has been an emotional one. Recently, the bar has for the most part been used as a prep station for to-go and in-house cocktails for both Natalie’s locations.
“It seems so foreign since we had such a small basement packed with people shoulder to shoulder to watch a five-piece band crammed into a booth, or to watch a burlesque show with performers peeling layers off while gyrating on the floor,” Ford said. “Part of the bar’s appeal is the intimacy, and in a day of social distancing we accept the challenge of finding its niche in this new world.”
