OSU student gov. talk about Mirror Lake jump safety

The OSU student government is jumping head in to the issues that surround the annual Mirror Lake jump. USG with President, Celia Wright organized a town hall style meeting to discuss the jump that isn’t a university sanctioned event (although Ohio State did try and regulate the jump that they don’t condone last year) and generally every year leads to problems for students that can range from injuries to sexual assault. Some piped up with ideas for volunteers around the lake as well as brainstorming ideas to handle drunk jumpers. Panel discussions on the issue will continue Sept. 17 and 24.
