In a report done by RealtyTrac, owning a rental property near Ohio State’s campus is the fifth most profitable college campus to do so at. For a landlord, the average gross rental yield near campus is 10.97 percent. Essentially landlords are pretty much always going to be making money in the area, because students will always need a place to live. Topping the list is University of Akron with a gross rental yield of 13.81 percent.
