Don a different kind of mask: HighBall Halloween is a safe bet for costume fun

Lori Schmidt

If your office has canceled its Halloween party, and your neighborhood has put the kibosh on its celebration this year, HighBall Halloween may just be the excuse you need to play dress up in 2020.

HighBall Halloween has been described by USA Today as “one of the nation’s top ten Halloween costume parties,” and while their fashion show is going virtual this year, they are still hosting their costume contest and awarding $100 prizes to winners in several categories: individual, group, and pet.

Those wishing to participate must purchase a ticket to the event, which will allow them to submit pictures or videos of their creations online.

The White Castle Costume Couture designers will serve as judges and select three individual or group winners, as well as one pet winner. One additional winner will be selected by members of the general public, who can vote on Instagram and Facebook.

The deadline to submit entries for the contest is 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 31, but those hoping for a shot to see their costumes featured in the virtual event must have had entries submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 16.

Proceeds from HighBall Halloween go to support the Short North Alliance, and more details about the event can be found here.
