Short North Civic Association Yard Sale Canceled

Columbus’s largest yard sale has been canceled amid concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Short North Civic Association had originally planned to hold their event Aug. 1, and had instituted a number of health and social distancing guidelines, hoping that would allow them to move ahead. 

At a meeting last week, however, they decided their worries were too great to proceed.

In the past, homes from Victorian Village, Harrison West, Italian Village, Dennison Place, and The Circles would participate, and more than 180 homes were a part of last year’s event, leading the Association to bill it as a “daylong treasure hunt.” 

The Short North Civic Association is encouraging those who wanted to take part this year to sign up for next year.
