Sarah Sole

Well Columbus, another year is almost behind us.

While the pandemic has made it challenging to get out and enjoy our city the way we have been accustomed to doing, we still found ways to sample Columbus’ culinary delights.

And with 2020 coming to an end, there’s no better time to recognize the best that our city has to offer, according to the experts: That’s right, we mean you guys.

We depend on you, dear readers, to annually share your favorite restaurants with us, based on your years of experience as proud members of the Clean Plate Club.

So which restaurants were the best this year? We turn to our ColumBEST reader survey, in which YOU chose the top three best overall restaurants.

Whether you dined in or carried out, here were your picks this year for Columbus’ best of the best.

Lindey’s

With 48.9% of your vote, Lindey’s handily took first place for the third year running. We’re not surprised, given the restaurant’s chill vibe and delicious menu. Come for the wide selection of drinks, and stay for the delectable takes on brunch, lunch, and dinner.

The Refectory

Although Lindey’s clearly has your heart, the Refectory showed up for a respectable second place, earning 25.7% of your vote. During a year changed by a pandemic, the Refectory adjusted, providing its guests with an ever-changing tasting menu filled with small and medium plates.

The Top Steakhouse

The Top Steakhouse basically tied with the Refectory for second place, earning 25.4% of your vote. You just can’t say no to a good steak, and Top Steakhouse sure does deliver. The outfit has been serving up their steaks, lobster tails, and roasted ribs since 1955.

Do you agree with Columbus’ vote, or does another restaurant have your heart? Make sure to share it with us in the comments below.
