Location announced for Central Ohio’s Sheetz convenience store

It’s fair to say we were taken off guard by the excited response we received to our initial coverage of Sheetz coming to Central Ohio. Well, hold onto your hats, Sheetz heads: we have news concerning just where the popular convenience store will be located when it rolls into town.

Sheetz will be coming soon to a 8.8 acre plot at the northeast corner of Toy Road and Alum Creek Drive in the Village of Obetz—pending approval from the Obetz Council.

The Preliminary Development Plan for Sheetz and an annexation acceptance for the site will be heard during a Special Meeting of Obetz Council on February 11, with the final development plan to be heard by the Obetz Planning and Zoning Commission on February 12. As there has been no opposition to the plan or the annexation, it seems likely construction will be allowed to move forward.

A start date for construction has not been set, though initial plans for the project place the size of the store at 6800 square feet.
