Artisanal candy company opens new Polaris location

There’s one more reason to be happy the holidays are almost here. Mmelo, the boutique Columbus confectioner creating a wide variety of all-natural gourmet chocolates and candy, has opened an autumn and winter seasonal pop-up at Polaris Fashion Place, located at 1500 Polaris Pkwy.

The pop-up will be located in front of the Apple store, and will be open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Sunday, from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. The Mmelo expansion will stand until early 2022.

“This was a prime opportunity for MMELO to once again offer our confections directly to our customers in a retail environment,” said Michelle Allen, owner and head chef in a press release. “We are able to offer select items such as our Marshmmelos, Tea Cakes, Chocolate Buttons, and other packaged sweets.”

While we’re still in the Halloween season, the location will feature chocolate, gluten-free Day of the Dead Head lollipops with embedded “evil eye” crunches. The treats come in both black and orange, and are made from milk chocolate or white chocolate (respectively) with toasted quinoa.

More seasonal products will be offered later in the year as well, including a nut butter bar set and handmade chocolate Christmas trees.
