Chicken wing chain launches in-house virtual brand

If you were doing some late-night DoorDashing and wondered what the heck Thighstop was, we have answers.

The virtual brand is the latest gambit from Wingstop as eateries across the country deal with the fallout from a chicken wing shortage. According to the chain’s blog post, Wingstop launched the thigh-centric virtual brand yesterday, June 21 via DoorDash.

The goal? To get everyone to press pause on wings and try some thighs, either boneless or bone-in. Sides include seasoned fries, fried corn, and rolls.

We appreciate a good pivot as much as anyone else, but Thighstop is one heck of a moniker.
