North Country Charcuterie rightfully gets a lot of love in the Columbu area, but now they have some coming in from the national level as well.

The local meat purveyors—located at 1145 Chesapeake Ave.—were recently named a finalist for the prestigious Good Food Awards.

The award aims to highlight some of the best sustainably-sourced food and drink products across the country.

Selecting from thousands of entrants, the national distinction hands out awards in 18 different categories. North Country Charcuterie was nominated for their charcuterie award, specifically its Herbed Wagyu Bresaola (a type of dried, salted beef).

Their bresaola is available in slices as a part of their Quintessential Collection, which can be purchased through their online store.

Each year, the winner of each respective category is announced during the live GFA ceremony in San Francisco. Winning products are honored in not only the live awards ceremony awards ceremony, they’re also offered together in a specialty marketplace.
