Five Columbus pizzerias open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Jack McLaughlin

Christmas is right around the corner, and if you’re tired of the same old holiday spread, we have just the thing for you, Columbus.

Pizza for Christmas.

If you’ve ever seen “Home Alone”, you should know just how satisfying indulging in a fresh pie during the holidays can be. And now, with a handful of local pizzerias staying open on Christmas and Christmas Eve, you can do the same.

Here’s a list of five local spots and what their Christmas hours look like.

Massey’s Pizza

This historic pizzeria serving Columbus-style pizza has a handful of locations in Central Ohio. While all Massey’s shops are closed Christmas Day, all of them are open until at least 6 p.m. (and some until 9pm) on Christmas Eve. The full hours of each location is available on Massey’s Facebook page.

Borgata Pizza Cafe

This popular local spot for New York-style pizza will be closed Christmas Day, but two of their locations will be slinging pies on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, Borgata’s North Side location (5701 Parkville St.) will be open from 4-8 p.m., and its Worthington location (2285 W. Dublin Granville Rd.) will be open from 4-8:30 p.m.

Fibonacci’s Pizzeria

Nestled inside Clintonville’s Studio 35, Fibonacci’s is quietly serving up some of the best and most inventive pizza in Columbus. Even better, the spot is open from 3-9 p.m. on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year.

Ange’s Pizza

This Columbus pizzeria is nothing short of an institution, after having served Central Ohio since 1953. Not only will their Hilliard locaion be open on Christmas Eve, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., they’ll also be open on Christmas Day, from 4-10 p.m. Delivery and online ordering will not be available on Christmas Day, and the shop warns that pickup times may be longer than normal.

Dante’s Pizza

Similar to Ange’s, Dante’s has been serving pies in the Columbus area for decades–since 1973–and will remain open during the holidays. While it will close for Christmas Day, the long-standing Clintvonville spot will be open on Christmas Eve from 3:30-7:30 p.m.
