Even though Dublin is located north of downtown Columbus, the city just received some serious Southern flavor.

That’s because Kool Daddy’s Barbecue, a new spot for Southern comfort food and barbecue is now officially open for business.

Kool Daddy’s, located at 5855 Frantz Rd. in Dublin held its grand opening on Nov. 19. The spot was opened by owner and head chef Michael Morales, who is also a former contestant on Food Network’s popular series “Chopped.”

The new Dublin spot is the first brick and mortar venture for Kool Daddy’s, which began as an offshoot of Tasteful Ventures catering in early 2018 after customers voiced a massive demand for their barbecue menu items.

Kool Daddy’s is open Tuesday through Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday.
