High Bank Distillery Co. opening second location this spring

High Bank Distillery Co. is expanding.

We know, Columbus; we’re excited too.

The local spirits purveyor, which first opened in 2018 as a Columbus micro-distillery, will be launching a second location in the Gahanna/New Albany area in the Spring of 2022, High Bank announced this afternoon.

It will be located at 1379 E Johnstown Rd. in Gahanna, according to High Bank’s website.

The local distillery, known for its elevated food and drink programs, earned a nod for best whiskey in Ohio from this year’s Heartland Whiskey Competition.

At 7,500 square feet, the new location will include a full-service restaurant and bar, as well as a large outdoor patio space for dining and drinking. But that’s not all, either. It will also be home to a retail store, and barrel storage space for High Banks’ blended spirits.

“We constantly listen to our guest feedback, and this has played a large role in the design of our 2nd location,” High Bank president and co-founder Jordan Helman said in an announcement on the distillery’s website. “Guests love our current atmosphere and feel of our open space. Our goal with High Bank 2 is to keep those key elements, integrate elements of our distillery operation and find unique design moments to differentiate this space from our first location while staying true to the High Bank brand.”

There aren’t many details out yet, Columbus, but we’ll keep you informed as soon as more are released.
