How to eat through the alphabet the Columbus way
Michelle Dozer and her family are eating their way through the alphabet—Columbus style.
She and her family recently kicked off their culinary journey with Asterisk Supper Club in Westerville, and next up is Barrel and Boar.
Dozer said she was inspired by the popular Facebook group Support Central Ohio Restaurants.
“I actually got the idea from the page itself, but elaborated on it a bit,” she said. “Most people are looking for a certain type of food or a certain location within the city and have asked for suggestions in the past. I’m willing to travel and willing to try just about anything.”

Dozer said she thought the large social media group would be the best place to turn to in order to discover hidden gems within the city. Asterisk, she said, was a place she never would have learned about had it not been for the Facebook group.
“I thought it would be a fun way to try new places and help out our community,” she said.
Inspired by Dozer’s new mission, we decided we’d put together a list of our own, primarily composed of our ColumBEST winners.
Columbus, what do you say? Will you eat through the alphabet with us? There’s a little bit of everything here, and we didn’t forget about dessert.
