Jacquemin Farms launching new donut-inspired baking company and cafe
If, like everyone else in the known universe, you’re a fan of fresh, hot farm donuts on a brisk fall day, then this new bakery is for you.
JF Baking Company, an extension of the popular U-Pick spot and farm market Jacquemin Farms, will open a bakery and coffee shop, eventually featuring everything from donuts and muffins to cookies, fresh baked pies, breakfast sandwiches and light lunch options. They will also be featuring coffee sourced from the Mechanicsburg-based Hemisphere Coffee Roasters
The spot will be located at 7437 Hyland Croy Rd. in Plain City, the site of Jacquemin Farms market. It will be located inside a renovated barn on the farm that was formerly used as an event space.

JF Baking Company plans to open its doors on Nov. 11th at 7 a.m. The bakery is currently slated to be open Tuesday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., although these hours are subject to change.
The new bakery will feature roughly 1,000 square feet of kitchen space and approximately 1,300 square feet of seating and public areas. The space will seat 36 people and includes tables, booths, and even a fireplace for ambiance.
JF Baking Company began when Jacquemin Farms started selling donuts and caramel apples from a concession trailer. Over the past 10 years, the popularity of these items caused them to outgrow the trailer, causing co-owner and farm manager Kerry Sullivan to consider an expansion.
“We are excited to start a new chapter here at the farm and serve our community year-round with the addition of the bakery and coffee. Our mission with this endeavor is to promote and support small business, the local farmer, and foster as much of a ‘farm to table’ environment as possible,” Sullivan said. “We plan to use as much locally sourced product as possible; everything will have a story.”
