King Avenue pasta place to open early next month

After starting out as a pop-up, Pelino’s Pasta will open Aug. 5 at 245 King Ave.

The outfit is run by Christina and Vinny Pelino, and features pasta prepared according to family traditions and culinary training in Italy.

“It’s very exciting,” said Vinny, who serves as executive chef.

Vinny said the eatery will feature several different dishes that highlight various regions of Italy, as well as fresh, filled pasta daily.

Christina serves as the pastry chef, and said the opening menu will feature housemade tiramisu as well as crostatas with seasonal berries.

The grand opening hours will be from 5-10 p.m. Aug. 5 as well as Aug. 6-7. Regular hours will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 5-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
