Ashtyn Chen, one of the only two saltwater shrimp-producing farms in the state of Ohio, is already CEO of the unique Ocean’s Friend Aquaculture. And he’s about to add another title to his resume.

Chen’s Polaris-area restaurant, Ashtyn’s Seafood House—located at 1047 Polaris Pkwy.—will be holding its grand opening event on Dec. 22.

Ashtyn’s Seafood House will be open for dinner only (from 4-9 p.m.) between Dec. 22-24.

“I’m just ecstatic that we can finally open the first Ashtyn’s Seafood House to showcase the saltwater shrimp and fish our family farms sustainably just 20 minutes outside of Columbus,” Chen said. “In addition, supporting fellow farmers and local businesses to bring the the freshest food ingredients to the 614 crowd is a dream come true!”

The 6,000 square foot spot will feature 5,200 square feet of restaurant space in addition to 800 square feet dedicated to a grocery store that will sell many of the fresh ingredients used on the restaurant’s menu, in addition to shrimp, fish, shellfish, spices, baked goods and more.
