Owner Lizz Szabo grew up eating the European dumplings in Cleveland’s Slavic Village. She launched Sweet CLE-‘Bus (the name is a portmanteau of Cleveland and Columbus) initially as an online “pierogi bakery” that also offered seasonal treats like kolackys and paczki. Szabo announced the new location this summer, noting that, due to in part to its popularity, the online store was no longer a viable option.

As the store will run by Szabo herself, hours will be limited. She noted Sweet CLE-‘Bus will be open most Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. On Nov. 6 during the shop’s grand opening, Sweet CLE-‘Bus will be open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

November flavors offered include: Cheesebomb, cheddar & onion, potato, bacon, chive & cheddar, white cheddar, and smokehouse cheddar.
