Popular spot for smoothies, juices, acai bowls opening second Columbus location

Another Playa Bowls location–the popular New Jersey-based spot for healthy, fruit-forward bowls, juices and smoothies–is opening in Columbus.

Playa Bowls recently announced it will be coming soon to 5775 Hamilton Rd. on the city’s Northeast Side. The eatery has not announced an opening date just yet.

The new location will be the second Playa Bowls storefront in Columbus. Its first store in the Midwest, located in the University District at 1952 N. High St., opened this spring.

Playa Bowls has over 200 locations total across the country as well, in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Colorado.

The eatery is known for its fruit-forward bowls, smoothies, oatmeal and more, featuring a wide range of fruits, including exotic varieties like acai and pitaya, another name for dragon fruit.
