Seventh Son hopes to foster support for fellow businesses with micro-weddings

Columbus couples looking to celebrate weddings this year can do so at Seventh Son—just on a small scale.

The brewery recently rolled out its micro-weddings concept available for their second-floor, rooftop area specifically on Sundays for parties of 30 people or less.

Events Coordinator Monica Neil said staff came up with the initiative largely as a way to support industry friends in the service industry.

“We want to support as many local vendors as we can,” she said.

To that end, those who book small weddings with Seventh Son have the option to connect with a list of wedding partners that include Jewelweed Floral Studio, Aloha Aina, Two Fatt Indians, Dos Hermanos, Dough Mama, Three Bites Bakery, and Artisan Eats

Neil said the brewery reached out to a variety of vendors to partner, including food trucks they’ve previously worked with that can offer event catering.

“People jumped on board immediately,” she said.

Seventh Son’s first-floor event space is still available for private rental, excluding evenings during the weekends. The cap is 32 guests.

But the large rooftop space, Neil said, offers plenty of room for people to space out, as well as the ability to crack the windows open as well as the roof.

“It’s really airy up there,” she said.
