A new catering outfit is looking to create a little buzz in the Columbus market, literally and figuratively.

Columbus native Tyler Kujawa this month launched Kujo Coffee Co., a specialty coffee catering service for weddings, parties, and other events. Partering with Florin Coffee, Kujawa will be using their coffee beans for his espresso drinks.

Kujawa is no newcomer to the coffee business. He spent years at different specialty shops as a barista and roaster.

“Coffee is my passion, because it has always brought people together,” he said. “Coffee literally doesn’t exist without people. Some of my most significant friendships, life conversations happened with coffee.”

Even the Kujo name recognizes a very important relationship in Kujawa’s life.

“Kujo Coffee Co. is named after my late dad David Kujawa’s nickname, ‘Kujo,'” Kujawa said. He passed away a year and half ago after a battle with brain cancer. His entire life he lived making others feel included and that they belonged. I want the cart to have that same energy of wherever you are you belong. This was a way for me to honor his legacy.”

Kujawa plans to primarily stick to catering, but will do a few pop-ups to help promote his new business. He can be reached via [email protected] or via Facebook and Instagram.
